Bronze

Our company distributes bronze raw material and products of the following shapes and applications for different purposes as follows:

Tin bronze - CuSn12

Standard: EN1982

Réz (Cu) % Ón (Sn) %
8,5-88,5 11,0-13,0

Physical properties:

  • Density: 8.6 g/cm3
  • Melting range: 830-1000 °C
  • Electrical conductivity at 20°C: 6.2 ms/m
  • Thermal conductivity at 20°C: 54 W/(m*K)
  • Linear coefficient of thermal expansion: 18.5 10-6/K

Mechanical properties:

  • Tensile strength (rm): 260 MPa
  • 0.2% yield stress (Rp0.2): 140 MPa
  • Elongation (A): 7 %
  • Brinell hardness (HB10): 80
  • Modulus of elasticity: 90-110 GPa
  • Bending strength: 90 mpa

Characteristic feature: Abrasion-resistant material, in addition to having excellent lubricating properties, is resistant to salt water and corrosion. For crankshaft support parts, it is suitable for machine tools, where precision and accuracy are of import.

Some examples: nuts, piston bushes, grinders, gears

Aluminium bronze - CuAl9Fe3

Standard: MSZ-711

Copper (Cu) % Aluminium (Al) % Iron (Fe)
R 8,0-10,0 2,0-4,0

Physical properties:

  • Density: 7.6 g/cm3
  • Melting range: 1042-1045 °C
  • Electrical resistance μΩm 15°C: 15.6
  • Thermal conductivity at 20°C: 50 W/(m*K)
  • Linear coefficient of thermal expansion at 0-250°C: 16.2

Mechanical properties:

  • Tensile strength (Rm): 470 N/mm2
  • 0.2% yield stress (Rp0.2): 180 N/mm2
  • Elongation (A): 20 %
  • Brinell hardness (HB10): 110

Aluminium bronzes are characterized by high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to these properties, they are also used in heavily loaded machine parts and motors, sliding contacts, bearings, filters, bolts, coins and fittings.

Artist bronze - CuSn1Mn1Zn3Si3

Copper (Cu) % Tin (Sn) % Manganese (Mn) % Zinc (Zn) % Silicon (Si) %
88,7 1,09 1,07 3,8 3,74

Alloys of copper and 3% silicon and 1% manganese. Silicon bronzes have both good strength and ductility, as well as corrosion and abrasion resistance, 2.8... They can be welded well with 4.5% Si containing additive using the MIG process.

It is used in construction areas such as:

  • for door fittings
  • railings
  • to the doors of churches
  • for fittings, straps
  • for fasteners for marine applications

It is also widely used in the chemical industry for heat exchangers and refrigeration technology, and is also an excellent material for coins and plaques. The alloy is a favorite material of sculptors and tinsmiths, thanks to its good machinability, durability and attractive gold bronze color.

Zamak ZnAl4Cu1

ZAMAK is a zinc-based alloy with alloys of aluminum, magnesium and copper. It is a low-melting, non-magnetizable grey alloy. Its typical application is the production of objects or ornaments with low mechanical stress, during which its excellent spreading ability, low melting point and easy casting are used. It is also perfect for pouring out complex shapes.

Our company sells ZAMAK 5 alloy to its partners, which contains 4% aluminum, 1% copper and 0.05% magnesium as alloys according to ISO: EN1774 standard tolerances and maximum impurities regulations.

Characteristic features:

  • Density : 6,7 g/cm3
  • Melting point : 380 – 386 °C
  • Brinell hardness : 91 Brinell
  • Presentation : in blocks
  • Price : following the respective LME prices
