Lead wire production
Our company has the machinery required for the large-scale production of lead wires of different diameters and chemical composition – presses and wire drawing lines, on which we can produce these products for our partners in a large quantity, reliable delivery times and at a competitive price.
In the interest of high quality, our company has launched several developments in this area in recent years – amongst others, we installed a modern automatic production line in our renovated production hall and purchased a robot, manipulator and crane for more efficient work.
Typical applications of the products are the production of hunting and sports ammunition, defence industry purposes, production of fishing products and pipe insulation. For these industries, our company offers lead and several types of lead-antimony alloys with diameters from 2 to 10 mm, produced and packaged according to customer requirements.
During production, lead or lead alloy goes into casting machines, which produces press billets with a diameter of 72 mm from lead. The ends of this are cut off by a cutting machine in a further phase of the process. Then the press billet enters the pressing phase, where during production we produce the wire with high-pressure press machines according to the customer's specifications (diameter, tolerance, spool). The manufactured wires are wound on a one-way wooden spool, plastic spools, or packed in rolls on pallets or boxes to protect the wire from damage that may occur during transportation. Thinner wire production, similarly to the production of our soft brazing wires, is carried out with the help of our pulling machines. Thin wires are wound on a smaller plastic spool, similar to soldering tin alloys.
During the process, quality is continuously checked and monitored. The material quality is checked by our laboratory with a spectrometer for each batch, while the diameter is checked multiple times per spool. We always issue a quality certificate for our products, which, in addition to the physical parameters of the product, guarantees the previously agreed chemical composition to our customers.
