Bismuth (BI)

A substance belonging to semimetals, of rare occurrence, hard, brittle and crystallizes in large particles. When added to tin, lead and other materials, low-melting alloys are obtained, e.g. wood metal (melting point 71 °C) or rose metal (94 °C). They are used in electronics for alarms and sensors. It is used even in medicine and cosmetology, as it creates a pearlescent effect.
